Christmas isn’t a season, it’s a feeling!

Mary Jane Finch has stayed at KGH on and off for the last 15 years, while her husband received treatment at Buffalo General Medical Center.

When construction began at 786 Ellicott Street, she was blown away at how beautiful the house was. Mary Jane recalls our House & Grounds Manager, Jeff Davis and how much he helped her and her daughter throughout that stay. She even remembers how he greeted her with a big hug!

During his recent treatment, she stayed busy by making handmade ornaments and displaying them on the Christmas tree on our campus. She is a breast cancer survivor herself, experiencing traveling for medical care many times and is eternally grateful for the support.

Simple things like the complimentary shuttle service to the hospital make her feel safe and having breakfast & dinner at the house is just one less thing to have to figure out. She was very grateful for the cozy fleece blanket she received in her welcome bag, which was provided by another generous volunteer.
