Biography

In 2015, Andrea established Tarshus Law Firm, PLLC located in Grand Island, which offers a full range of business and corporate law services. She has over a decade of legal experience, providing counsel to a diverse clientele of small businesses, corporations, and organizations throughout New York State.

Andrea has been a dedicated member of the Greyhound Rescue Adoption Team (GReAT) since 2018, Freedom Boat Club since 2018, and the Erie County Bar Association since 2022. She has also been a member of the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce since 2019 and was appointed to its board of directors in 2022.

As a Grand Island resident, some of her hobbies include cooking, fishing, running, traveling, and fashion.

When she’s not busy running her own law practice, you can find Andrea in the kitchen honing her skills as a gluten free cook.  Andrea was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2007 and embraced the challenge of learning to re-create favorite recipes avoiding gluten and using new ingredients.  This sparked her passion for cooking for others, which is how she became connected to Kevin Guest House in 2018 when she volunteered to cook her first meal for guests staying at the KGH campus.

“I was nervous volunteering to cook for a crowd, but immediately felt so welcome and at ease by the staff at KGH.  I had prepared a big spread of food expecting everyone to come at once, but that wasn’t the case at all.  After about 30 minutes, one guest came to the dining room to eat.  She didn’t have much of an appetite, so it was evident that she was really just there for the company.  We chatted for over an hour and then I offered her a freshly baked muffin to take to her room for breakfast.  I had written different messages of inspiration and hope on tiny scrolls fastened to the top of each muffin.  When she unrolled her scroll, she began to cry.  She told me the message was the same message her daughter had given to her earlier that week.  I knew right then and there that our paths were meant to cross.  This is what makes Kevin Guest House so special; finding a genuine soulful connection with someone in a moment.”

Andrea and her fiancé, Jeff Willis will be getting married in 2023.
