The KGH Campus during COVID19 and our “New Normal”

Designated as an essential partner on the medical campus, KGH remains open thanks to your support, and a small, hard-working staff. While things look a little different on the campus right now, we’re dedicated to keeping our doors open for our most critical patients.

In our “new normal” on campus, House Manager & Volunteer Coordinator Besty continues to oversee operations from our office at the Main House. Jeff, our Building & Grounds manager, is pictured with our new partners from Consolidated Maintenance Services, who are assisting with enhanced daily sanitation protocols.

Resident Manager Ali, along with staff members Alex and Anna are also on campus to help with daily cleaning and efforts to keep our immune-compromised guests safe and comfortable. Anna, who has helped out at KGH in the past on school breaks, has returned to lend a hand at the house with school out being closed, and Alex, who is normally a weekend staff member, has added multiple weekdays shifts.

We love our weekly volunteers and look forward to their return! Whether it’s answering phones and taking reservations, cleaning, cooking, or just being a supportive ear for our guests – our wonderful volunteers do so much for KGH, and their presence is certainly missed.

Pam, Director of Development, and Marianne, Event & Marketing Manager, have transitioned to working from home. New co-workers include Pam’s sons Matt and Jack, and Lester the lizard, while Marianne’s furry co-workers Winnie and Molly are taking neighborhood watch duties very seriously. Though events have been put on pause, fundraising efforts are vital right now and continue remotely.

Executive Director Lynsey continues to steer the ship, alternating between the KGH campus and her home office while also navigating adventures in homeschooling  with Helena and Cameron, and their dog Knucky.

We hope you and your families stay well as we all navigate an ever-changing “new normal” together.  #KGHKeepsGoing
