Seeking a new full-time Housekeeper

The full-time on-site housekeeping/janitorial services position is 40+ hour per week position ideal for that detailed oriented person who wants to provide a clean & safe atmosphere for patients and their caregivers traveling for medical care away from home. In addition to assisting with housekeeping and grounds maintenance, this position supports ordering & inventory supplies, prepare meals for guests, and other operations tasks for a Western New York healthcare hospitality house at the direction of the Executive Director and House & Grounds Manager. Responsibilities also include support of guest services and administrative duties or evening/weekend relief when needed. Position will support other staff functions at times when requested, including event & development preparation.
A successful candidate will have previous experience working with a non-profit atmosphere, low-income families or healthcare industry. Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to the hospitality house mission and compassionate to patient family needs. Ability to multi-task and stress management preferred.
Position Hours: Monday thru Friday (9am to 5:30pm) (includes 30 min break unpaid break)
Potential for additional limited on-call emergencies & coverage for House & Grounds Manager
Annual Range: $31,000 to $36,000 (commensurate with experience) for on-site work hours and additional when called to duty during on-call or additional overtime hours. Additional paid time off for holidays worked.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience
- Ability to perform physical requirements and lift up to 30 lbs. (snow removal & yard work may be included)
- Previous housekeeping experience a must, janitorial experience encouraged and healthcare experience a plus.
- Dependable, punctual & compassionate perspective. Social work/human services or relevant experience a plus.
- Must pass a health screening and background investigation
