BUFFALO, NY — Patients and families staying at the Kevin Guest House will receive a gift this month to make their stay more comfortable. Thirty high-end, premium pillows will be donated to Kevin’s Guest House, on behalf of a Somnvie, a linen and bedding company.
The Kevin Guest House offers hospitality housing for patients and families undergoing a health crisis such as transplants, cancer, or other complex needs at the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. The organization is in constant need of bedding items such as pillows.
Buffalo native Nancy Murphy, Founding Brand Associate and Senior Director for Somnvie, was challenged in a recent sales competition “Pillows for a Purpose” where for every pillow sold, one would be donated to a charity of her choosing.
“Supporting the Kevin Guest House was my first choice because this gives a touch of comfort during a stressful time for families and patients who need good rest to heal,” said Murphy. “These pillows are of are of superb, lasting quality. It’s a joy to be able to share them with the Kevin Guest House when they do so much for others.”
Murphy plans to deliver the pillows personally to the Kevin Guest House on Monday, December 23rd. Across the country Somnvie’s Pillows for a Purpose benefits communities where their Brand Associates live and work, with donations going to domestic violence shelters and a transition house for women leaving federal prison.
